FAQ

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we are covered up to £1 million public liability and this can be upgraded to £10 million upon clients request.

We also hold commercial insurance for our drone operations which is fully compliant with EC 785/2004. We will provide you copies of our insurance documentation during the planning phases of the production.

What are your project deadlines?

We aim to turn projects around within 7-10 working days from the last shoot date.

Don't worry! If you're in a rush and require the content sooner, we can make arrangements upon discussion with the client. We've even delivered content same-day!

Can I request edits?

Yes! Although we follow the brief, some fine tuning might have to be made. All of this is made clear in our Production Agreement.

Can you fly drones in bad weather?

It all depends on the weather conditions. We closely monitor the weather before the shoot as part of our pre-deployment check procedures. Our limitations are outlined below:

Rain

We can’t normally fly in rain, as rain does not mix well with our equipment especially the aircrafts systems and camera; any water on the camera lens will not create clear imagery.

Wind

The maximum wind speed we can fly in is approx. 20kts, anything greater is beyond the drones safe working limits.

What information do you need to provide a quote?

Before you go too far in your planning, please get in touch. We'll need some basic information about your requirements so that we can conduct an initial survey to see the sustainability of your requirement.

  • The location where the work is required.
  • Proposed time and date
  • Details of your requirements

We'll be able to identify whether we can operate the drone with this information or if we'll need to seek further permissions. We'll let you know if your request is achievable, allowing you to fine-tune your plans.

Are you licensed & authorised?

Yes! For our commercial drone operations, we hold an A2 Certificate of Competence (A2CofC) and a General Visual Line of Sight (GVC) both issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.

We operate within our operations manual and make sure we take every safety precaution to ensure a smooth, hassle free shoot.

All JRNVisuals employee's are DBS checked.
